Hey you guys, it's been a while again hasn't it?

All I can remember and think about is the Lowell Spring Dance Concert: Soul Meets Body which took place this weekend! A lot of sweat, brain power, time, life, laughs, and pain was put into this show, and it was all worth it. It's hard to believe and almost ridiculous when you think about it, that you spend months [pretty much a whole semester] going over one dance that lasts all of three minutes, to perform once on the night of the awaited concert. I mean, when you're in class and just running it over as many times as you can and making adjustments, that one dance seems to last longer than you'd like, but once you're on stage with the lights and crackling atmosphere, you're left wondering how the hell it ended before it even seemed to begin. Anyway, I was a part of the 9-10 beginning class and we danced to Madonna's "Hung Up," and I think I'll even dare to say that it was awesome! We were pretty lucky in that the crowd was very generous in applause and cheers for us both nights, and part of that was probably due to the fact that we had a disco ball. Oh yeah, no one can beat the disco ball! Saturday's performance was probably the most touching because Ms. Jones came to watch the show after her long family related absence and surprised most of us who weren't counting on her appearance. People laughed, cheered, and cried, and I hope that we were able to make her proud, and that she's able to come back soon with only good news. Also on saturday the seniors in dance were recognized and awarded for their continued support and thank you awards were handed out too. It's sad to come to realize that in two short years I'll be participating in my last spring dance concert due to the fact that I'll be graduating not long after. Even though I was in only one dance this year, the experience has meant a lot to me and has made me love dance even more. Just because I was in dance I was given the opportunity to meet a variety of new people who ranged from rocking my socks to giving me the urge to socking them in the face. I'd like to give a warm thanks to all of you who were in my dance group [Amanda, Cheryl, Julie, Linda, Maebo, and William]  for this concert because you were able to bring my vision to life. Out of the concert my favorite dance was without a doubt Sick.

On another note, hopefully Urban Step will rise up from the ashes that it crashed and burned into this year and regain its position among the dance teams. It was a pretty disappointing year because we only took part in two major activities this year, one being the homecoming rally which was full of technical difficulties, winter fair which went really well, and we just faded away for the rest. Oh well, watch out people because we are coming back, and we're  planning on coming back so strong you won't know what hit you 'til you're up on your feet and cheering your head off!

Most people know of this goal already or can guess because it's pretty obvious, and to keep from looking like a real loser when my current prediction comes true, I'll leave it nameless. So I'm aspiring to make it onto something, but in my current position I know that I lack the techniques to be chosen for such an honor and realistically will not make it this time around. Knowing this is quite a downer, because my time is running out and if it isn't this year or the next, then I will have failed in regards to this goal. It's something that a lot of people reach for and the competition will be really tough, so who's to say that even when I achieve the techniques that I'll be good enough compared to those competing against me? Ms. Louie is really supportive and says that she believes I can make it, I just need to "practice, practice, practice," and that's what I plan on doing. Definitely. No more hiding behind the rows and off to the side for me, next year I plan to show my full potential, and hopefully it'll be good enough and impressive enough. I'll get tutors if I have to, and I know that I already have friends who will help me out =]. Thanks to you guys, if I make it I'll know it's because of you, and if I don't, I'm sorry for letting you down.

Next year is just going to be a stressful year, so many classes and tests, and second to last pick. Not to mention all the extra activities. Yippee. Oh well, I just have to put one foot in front of the other and keep striving for my goals.

(Also, if you didn't notice, new layout [Dance, let It move you <3]! I swear I change layouts more often than I update, haha.)

Gasp, second entry in less than a week! Haha, well here's a little survey that I filled out because I thought it was more original than most of the ones I've seen.

Pick any artist on your last.fm list & answer using their song titles.
(Ok, so we were supposed to pick ONE artist, but...I didn't have enough songs from one artist to answer all the questions, so here's a bunch of song titles from various artists)

[1] Are you male or female? Because I'm A Girl (Kiss)
[2] Describe yourself? Breathing (Yellowcard)
[3] How do you feel about yourself? Imaginary (Evanescence)
[4] Describe what you are thinking about right now: Where'd You Go [and/where are you]? (Fort Minor)
[5] Describe your current significant other? Me, Myself, and I (Beyonce)
[6] Describe the place you currently live: Simple and Clean (Utada Hikaru)
[7] If you could go anywhere, where would you go? Dreaming In Azure (Dan Gibson) or Escape to Paradise (Dj Quicksilver)
[8] Describe your best friends? Crazy (KC & Jojo) or Dum Diddly (Black Eyed Peas) or  First of the Gang To Die (Morrissey) OR Dreams Come True (Valen Hsu) haha ;D
[9] What would you ask for if you had just one wish? A Love Before Time (Coco Lee) or You and Me (Lifehouse)
[10] You know that you've: Recycled Air (The Postal Service)
[11] What's the weather like? Sakura Drops (Utada Hikaru)
[12] If your life was a television show, what would it be called? Seasons (Ayumi Hamasaki) or Secret (Maroon 5)
[13] What is life to you? Smiling Faces (M2M) or Sleeping In (The Postal Service)
[14] What is the best advice you have to give? Die Another Day (Madonna) or Easier To Run (Linkin Park)
[15] If you could change your name, what would you change it to? Adia (Sarah McLachlan)

Fill this out for yourself and post it onto your journal of sorts or leave it as a comment so I can see your answers =D.

Guess Who's Back, Back Again...

Ok, well hello xanga, I'm back! And to you faithful readers or accidental stumblers, thanks for taking the time to check this entry out, though there are no promises on more updates soon or not. So where to start?
Well with whatever my brain's memory banks can pull up, let's start with talking about my new affiliation with Triple A [none other than Adopt An Alleyway, and not the automobile one, sorry to disappoint ya folks]! So how'd this come about you might ask? Well thanks to Connie's recommendation and the group's consent, I was asked to choreograph a dance for their 15th anniversary dinner and after meeting them, how could I not join?
Days before and of the dinner: Wow so those first couple of days of teaching /making up the dance/ choosing the music/ and mixing the music were hectic! I'm really proud of you guys for learning the dance and having the guts to perform it in only a matter of three days! We worked hard pulling those, I don't know, five+ hour days with hardly any food to survive on, and rocked out on that miniature stage. It was loads of fun and we shouldn't have to wait for the next dinner to do something like that again. Maybe summer get tgoethers to raid dance clubs ;]? Haha.
Singing my unofficial "theme song" Only Hope by Mandy Moore at the dinner with the first half being mostly Mandy since I choke up when it actually counts and can't sing loudly even if my life depended on it.

The first triple A meeting: Had a lot of fun at my first official triple A meeting, I mean, who wouldn't have fun describing their "dream lover" and then drawing him/her? Of course, the food was a plus too.

    Spring Break:
Monday: My first alleyway clean up. My god, some of the alleyway were really quite bad, and I couldn't resist the urge to dispose of every piece of trash I saw, and was disappointed at the junk that wouldn't come off the floor. Then Connie, Szeto, Jeffrey Z. and I went to Denise's house for the "eat off" which didn't happen because if we had actually let competetors Spenser and Adrian chow down, the rest of us would've gone hungry. After lunch and the various video game playing/ ping pong-ing we traveled to the park and the beach. I now know that I can carry Samantha and Wilson L. good distances and everyone else I asked either declined or I didn't ask because I judged I would probably fail at lifting them.
Tuesday: The treasure hunt in Chinatown. I was somehow chosen to be a group leader and was assigned a group of six sweet, stupendous, scrumptious, sedulous students! Ok, so most of that was a lie, lol. Let's examine the truth shall we? Six students? Yes. Sweet? Hells no. Stupendous? Eh. Scrumptious? Well I wouldn't know, cannibalism goes against my beliefs. Sedulous? Hardly. They weren't really all that bad, but they caused me quite a bit of trouble. Point one: While waiting outside the telegraph house stop a couple of the boys splooshed open their umbrellas which had been collecting rain and splaterring the other kids, myself included. On our way to another stop after that one of the girls commented "This field trip would be more fun if it wasn't raining." Since no one else replied, I decided to extend a friendly gesture and say "Yeah, that's true." Her response? "I wasn't talking to you." At the Women's House one of the boys hid another kid's jacket and this feat wasn't discovered until we reached the next destination. This required us to run back to the place after getting back to Gordon J. Lau while forgetting our umbrellas, resulting in getting more soaked. Guess what? We still couldn't find it. It was pretty bad at the end because the kids got tired and kept saying the wanted to quit, and since time was almost up anyway, we quit. Reading Connie's xanga, I guess "the other devil groups" must include mine. All in all, they were adorable little children with limits,  it was a good experience, and I don't regret a minute of it.
Wednesday: Sister get together day. Watching Love Actually while turning away at those "improper" scenes, cursing that home-wrecker, and rooting for Hugh Grant, the writer dude, and Sammy. Baking neat shaped cookies in the beginning by using a melon baller, and then going crazy by stabbed semi-sweet chocolate chips into them and forming odd shapes and letters near the end. Playing jenga and in Miss Dissociative and Miss Nonconformist's case, losing at jenga. Yes,  WatermelonGirl and "the Queen of Jenga" managed to survive.
Thursday: The triple A hot pot. So yeah, that was my first hot pot ever and it was pretty interesting. I'm not really sure if I cooked everything well enough but hey, I'm still here so things must be all right. Some people took mky food too...;-; Note to readers: never take me to an all you can eat buffet unless you tell me that's your plan so I don't eat breakfast, or else it will not be worth the money. Trust me. Playing a group activity after being forced to stop cleaning up the mess that was still there after cleaning efforts...hey, when I see something that needs to be cleaned and I'm not feeling too lazy I can't resist the urge to clean it up. The activity was to form four squares out of the pieces you're given. Unfortunately I had to leave to help out my sister with something, so I missed the part of the day where things started getting hot. No, I do not mean the boilers were turned back on for more hot pot, or the glorious sun that was out that day shining its rays even brighter, but the next avtivity. From what I heard, people got pretty close to each other with that activity.
Friday: Went to chinatown with my mom. Got some pasteries and just spent some quality time with my mom that I haven't been able to do in a long time.
Weekend: What can I say? It was truly a homework cram weekend with feelings of regret at not starting all the work earlier, and not getting sleep. Hoo-ray.

First week back to school: It actually felt as if there hadn't been a break, and it was rather sad because this week the weather was beautiful--the exact opposite of spring break weather. On wednesday I had to run to Albetson's and back to get the "spring" themed gift for this month's gift giving. The most surprising thing about it was that I actually did it and I hadn't run in months. Yay for me! Gorging on all the lovely chocolate and candy that was given, and still working on it thank you very much =D. I left a flower for Mrs. Li on her desk with a note, except I forgot to secure the note to the flower so it actually could've flown away with a gust of wind, leaving her to wonder who the hell was stalking her and leaving her flowers. It was signed by "yi ge xue sheng" anyway, but there was an explanation so it wouldn't made a difference. Actually, I'm not really sure if it was Mrs. Li's desk, haha. She hasn't said anything, so I guess I'll be left wondering if she ever got it. I hope she did because she really deserves a nice surprise now and then, and especially the respect she lacks from those goddamned unappreciative students. *Cough* I don't like it when nice/good teachers are taken advantage of by demon seed children who deserve to be in a crappy teacher's class....

Ok, well it it's getting kind of long so I'll stop for now and update you guys again later. Woot, I'm having cheescake while watching The Corpse Bride tonight! Muahaha, be jealous of my cheesecake! XD.

The spring dance concert is coming up soon: May 26th and 27th, so tell me if you want to come and watch. When I get the tickets, I'll let you guys know and hopefully if you're coming, you'll buy a ticket from me ;].
Damn that is going to be one busy week though, because the post-poned Color Wars Rally will also be the 26th. Come check Urban Step out =D.
